The Right Tools for Kendall’s Right-of-Way Clearing

Right-of-way vegetation management requires more than field experience. Overgrown corridors, uneven terrain, and limited access demand equipment that can perform reliably under pressure while supporting safe, efficient operations. At Kendall Vegetation Services, our crews are backed by purpose-built machinery designed to handle high-volume material, adapt to challenging environments, and maintain steady progress throughout a project.

From large-scale grinders to support equipment that prepares and maintains work zones, each machine in our fleet plays a specific role in helping our teams deliver dependable right-of-way clearing services.

High-Capacity Grinding for Large-Scale Clearing: Bandit HM6420
One of the most powerful tools supporting Kendall’s operations is the Bandit HM6420 horizontal grinder. Equipped with a 40” × 64” feed opening and powered by a 1,200-horsepower Caterpillar engine, this machine is built for high-volume grinding. It allows crews to efficiently reduce large volumes of vegetation, whether reclaiming overgrown rights-of-way, processing mixed-material piles, or managing storm debris during extended clearing operations.

By handling material quickly and consistently, the HM6420 helps crews maintain organized work zones and keep projects moving forward.

Whole-Tree Chipping for High-Throughput Operations: Bandit 3090
For projects requiring continuous vegetation removal, the Bandit 3090 whole-tree chipper provides the capacity needed to keep pace with demanding workloads. Delivering up to 800 horsepower and capable of producing more than a ton of chips per minute, this machine supports large-scale land clearing, pipeline corridor work, rail right-of-way maintenance, and high-volume timber processing.

Its throughput and durability make it a reliable solution when speed and consistency are essential.

Versatile Ground Equipment for Changing Conditions: Bandit BTC-300
The Bandit BTC-300 brings flexibility to right-of-way projects where terrain and conditions can vary significantly. With up to 321 horsepower and interchangeable mower and stump grinder attachments, this machine allows crews to transition between tasks such as slope clearing, stump removal, and access road preparation without sacrificing productivity.

This versatility helps crews adapt quickly as site conditions change, reducing downtime and improving efficiency.

Excavation Support for Site Preparation and Material Handling: John Deere 160G
The John Deere 160G excavator provides a balance of power and maneuverability that supports a wide range of right-of-way tasks. With 122 horsepower and approximately 21 feet of digging depth, it is well-suited for trenching, root extraction, material loading, drainage work, and site preparation.

Its size and control make it a dependable piece of equipment across diverse project environments.

Earthmoving and Grading for Safe Access: CAT D6N XL
To prepare stable and accessible work zones, Kendall relies on the CAT D6N XL dozer. With 166 horsepower and an operating weight exceeding 36,000 pounds, this machine delivers the control and stability needed for bulk earthmoving, access road construction, slope shaping, and finish grading.

By improving ground conditions, the D6N XL helps crews operate more safely and efficiently throughout the duration of a project.

Material Transport That Keeps Worksites Moving: Dump Truck Fleet
Supporting every phase of right-of-way clearing is Kendall’s fleet of tri-axle, double-axle, and single-axle dump trucks. These vehicles handle the safe transport of logs, wood chips, soil, and storm debris, ensuring materials are moved efficiently, and work areas remain clear.

Reliable material hauling plays a key role in maintaining momentum and site organization from start to finish.

Purpose-Built Equipment Supporting Reliable Results

Each piece of equipment in Kendall’s fleet is selected with intention. Together, these grinders, chippers, excavators, dozers, and haul trucks allow our crews to approach right-of-way clearing with confidence, consistency, and control.

This investment in purpose-built machinery helps support safer operations, efficient execution, and dependable outcomes for the utility partners and communities we serve.
